ED CARPENTER, No. 20 SONAX Chevrolet: “Opening Day is always great. It was a little abbreviated today with the weather, we are all pretty happy with the start we had. Not perfect, but a good day 1 and we made good progress. The cars are fast and pretty good in race trim, so we will keep chipping away at it and have the SONAX machine ready for race day.”
RINUS VEEKAY, No. 21 Bitcoin Chevrolet: “It was a very good day, first day of Indy 500 practice! I am feeling very good and the car is very quick. We are just building up to it, using all the time we have. Conor and Ed are happy too, so it’s very nice!”
CONOR DALY, No. 47 U.S. Air Force Chevrolet: “Today was another solid day! We picked up right where we left off at the test. Car is fast, car is strong! We were on a couple of laps that probably would have put us up top, but we were running in traffic and working through things. Our no-tow speed was quite good as well! Can’t complain at all, we just want to be fast at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The U.S. Air Force car looks very sporty out there and it feels extra sporty. Let’s get it again tomorrow!”
